The Bookrats are back! And the return of The Kilt.

Game is of the non-functioning kind. It has to be something in the 'hood. It crashes every time Allegra's offspring has been named and quick enough that I can't even save. It also happens with the back-up. I have, however, managed to save the sims themselves and stored them somewhere safe.

My current plan is to de-install and install again, throw Allegra, Morrolan and Sophie into a new neighborhood and continue the legacy from there. I'm sure that this is against quite a few rules but I would rather continue playing this legacy to then umpteenth generation than have to give up due to computer failure.

This does mean that they'll be starting from scratch again and with a different theme to it. I've been collecting a huge set custom content from almost every site I could think of and was intending to use that for my next legacy but I'll ploink it in now.

The game will also be installed in English this time.

I haven't abandoned the Bookrats, first of all. I would never dare. The lack of updates, comments on other legacies and the lot has more to do with that fabled Real Life. I should cancel my subscription on that.

Anyway, here goes. Fungible has been doing this the past few weeks.

1. Bachelor thesis.
2. Exams (just one more to go)
3. More Bachelor thesis.
4. Babysitting gerbils while I have no clue about what I'm doing.
5. Trying to help one of my professors put a course for Creative Writing together so the univbersity will accept it and start giving credits for it.
6. More Bachelor thesis.
7. Trying to squeeze some novel writing time in between everything.
8. Did I mention the Bachelor thesis? Because the amount of work is SCARY. Also, researching what women could and couldn't do in Shakespearian times is extremely depressing and makes you appreciate living today a whole lot more.

Sim wise, my game has decided that it has HAAAAAAAAAAAT for me and joined crashopalooza. Which meant spending a good deal of yesterday de-installing and re-installing my game all over again (and when you realize that I have everything except for Gardens and Mansions... yeah) and patching and testing if it kept everything and threatening my firewalla into not letting anything EA-Game pass. I do love my Sygate so much. Now it's decided to randomly decide to doubt if I have a legit copy of the game. I DO! MY BANK ACCOUNT CAN TESTIFY TO IT. Or it decides that I have an emulation conflict.

Yes, EA, I'm putting the blame on you because I bought my games fair and square and what I didn't buy was a birthday gift.Either way, SCREW YOU EA.

*Ahem* And that brings me to the last bit. I have a working back-up of the Bookrats. I also have a back-up of my downloads, which I'm putting in right now and I'm hoping and praying that everything will work again.

Because apparently I joinked through 5 GB of bandwith in two days O.o Oi. Not very funny. Either a lot of people are looking at my pictures or... what, actually? Ah well, either way: I shall wait with my next update for Photobucket to stop being a bucket of fail.

I'm not even popular. How did I manage this?! Maybe I should lower the quality of my JPGs, or make them smaller. Maybe that will make it better? Or less pictures per update?

I shall ponder and puzzle on this.

All right, maybe not that dramatic. That kinda drama is reserved for if I should lose my game/the Bookrats.

No. I got this in the mail:

... We're not even half way through the month. I uploaded way more than this in the last week of February and NOW they tell me that I have less than 5 GB left?

Ugh. This will not do. What do I have to do now? Update once a week? Juggle multiple accounts? I believe I shall go headdesk on this for a moment. Or sulk and pout. Probably both.
